I was thinking...

In the books the evil dudes don't want to set foot in the goodies' temple as they feel REAL uncomfortable.

What about setting things so that if a good aligned character enters an evil temple they take divine damage.

Likewise if an evil aligned character enters a good temple they take divine damage as well.

As for the neutrals... nobody cares about them. Razz

Maybe keep the damage delivered per round as well.

Just a thought. Use or discard as you see fit.

I think that is a good and workable idea...

My two cents ( if it's even worth that much ) but I would say instead of taking Damage how about getting a lot of Negatives to your charactor... -ab, -ac, -hp, so on...

Just my opinion..

That'd fit. In the novels whenever a baddie went into the temple of Paladine they didn't burst into flames, but were quite uncomfortable. Stat penalties would reflect that nicely I think.

I would say if a evil charactor going into a good temple or the other way around.. than that god can do as they wish, within reason.

BUT if it's any of Tim's charactors I would smite first ask questions when you feel like asking the questions. ( Nothing but love for you Tim )

I would say that a good deity could smite an evil character entering their temple.

After all, temples aren't the only place to get healing potions. I have seen several potion shops in the cities. Smile

Another idea if say a evil walks in a good temple or other way around, the char hit with a epic ruin spell. Nothing like a lazier beam zapping you when crossing a certain point and make it a NASTY one to boot. Or even better one of Sam Epic items effects is cased on you! Twisted Evil

just my add on to smite part. Wink
